Renewing your mind

As a born again believer I have understood the principal of renewing your mind on a daily basis. With all the garbage that you see day to day, there is no way that you can go without spending time with God. As a full time minister, as well, this is very important. The Bible says "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."Romans 12:2

In the context of this chapter it then goes on to say not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to, but to be sober remembering that we are all a part of one body and are to use our gifts collectively as one body.

So as a born again Christian and a minister renewing our minds daily is very important especially when you are to remain in a humble state of mind. Not forgetting who you are and where you came from. That without God you wouldn't be who you are today and you would not have the gifting you have to day to operate in the kingdom of God. Count it an honor and a privilage for God to deem this old clay worthy of use. Allowing Him to mold you and shape you no matter how long you have been stuck in that same old pattern. Allowing God to form you into the person you are to be without preconceived ideas of who you think you are supposed to be. Renewing your mind that you may know His will for your life! But above all remaining in a humble state of mind!
